Having grown up in the country and near the sea, I've always had a fondness for the outdoors.

My photographic career kickstarted prior to an expedition to the Arctic Circle where I had planned to shoot the Aurora Borealis, and although I was 'handy' with a camera I needed to upgrade my old Minolta X700 35mm to something modern and digital that would cope with a variety of extreme conditions. My research into technical and equipment knowledge had begun.

 

Since the expedition, I have really caught the photography bug and rarely find myself without a camera. My Lowepro bag has seen more hills and horrific weather than my hiking rucksack ever had!!

 

In 2014, as I had gathered so much interest and had started selling my shots to a wide audience, I decided to go professional and offer reasonable rate photography for a wide client base. I am part of a syndicate of three professional photographers under the name WEM photographic. Over the past couple of years, I have been lucky enough to have had several images published in various different formats. I am a Shutterstock contributor, and submit images to Getty and National Geographic for their library photos.

 

I am also a member of the Royal Photographic Society and am working on my protfolio to gain the LRPS qualification.

 

I am a Canon user. I use an EOS 1D mkiii alongside a 24-105mm f4 L IS USM, a 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM and a 50mm f1.4. This range gives me a perfect setup for any situation, and allows me to produce the sharpest and most vivid images possible. 

 

My experience allows me to cover pretty much any situation that you can think up, in pretty much any environment or condition you can imagine.
